Chicken Processing Workshop
Have you ever thought about raising and processing your own chickens? Feed your family in a healthy, ethical, and sustainable way!
Our classes are small and will provide you with the knowledge you need! We will begin the day with a brief farm tour and learn about raising and caring for meat birds. We will then move on to the processing component. Class sizes are limited so that all participants will have ample hands-on time throughout the entire process.
Students will receive two whole, processed birds ready for the freezer at the end of the class.
Students will need to bring weather-appropriate clothing (gloves and apron recommended), a bagged lunch, and a cooler for chicken.
We will provide guided instruction, handouts, knives, and all other required tools.
